The MTA co-signed letters with 64 state and national organizations asking senators to
oppose increasing the required minimum amount of liability insurance. The recently-passed House version of the highway bill, H.R. 3684, the INVEST in America Act, regrettably included an increase from the current minimum of $750,000 to $2,000,000.
