Become the Next Leader of the Trucking Industry

Over the course of this 12-month program, you will learn how to:  build teams, become a person of influence, negotiate with confidence, cultivate relationships, deliver powerful presentations, lead meetings effectively, understand & develop company metrics, leverage your MTA membership, interact with legislators and government agencies, strategically think & plan, and communicate effectively.

Session 1 (September): Team Building, Trucking, & Interacting with Government Officials & Agencies

Session 2 (October - Online): Are You an Effective Leader? The Maxwell Leadership Assessment

Session 3 (November): John Maxwell Professional Development & Leadership Training

Session 4 (January): Leading Critical Conversations – MTA Safety Conference

Session 5 (February): Leading Change Through Influence – MTA Truck to the Capitol

Session 6 (March): Effective Negotiations and Communication

Session 7 (April): Learning Through Leadership – MTA Trucking Management Conference

Session 8 (June): Leading Volunteers – MTA Minnesota Truck Driving Championships

Session 9 (July - Online): Leading Effective Meetings

Session 10 (August): Cultivating Relationships, NEXTLEADER Council, Graduation - Annual Conference

**Note: Social distancing and sanitization practices will be in place during in-person events. 

In-person Sessions may be converted into Virtual training sessions if meetings are restricted by Executive Order.
